Men's Lacrosse Falls to Mars Hill

MARS HILL, NC - Danny Farmer scored at the 13:27 mark in the first quarter to give Mars Hill a 1-0 lead over visiting Pfeiffer University and the Lions would never trail again. MHC improved to 5-4 on the year while the Falcons fell to 1-8 on the season.

MHC enjoyed a 6-2 lead after the first quarter and then Pfeiffer matched the Lions in goals scored with four apiece in the second frame to make the halftime tally 10-6 in favor of the Lions.

Pfeiffer won the third frame, 4-3 before the Lions put the game away in the final period out scoring the Falcons 6-3 to preserve the 19-13 victory.

Eddie Gourley led Pfeiffer with five goals. Pat Martin and Jimmy Dyches split time in goal and combined for 15 saves.

Pfeifer will next play Queens University April 4th at 7:00 pm.
