|Pfeiffer and Catawba Battle to 0-0 Draw|

Misenheimer, NC---In a thrilling game the Falcons of Pfeiffer and the Indians of Catawba battled to a 0-0 tie after 110 minutes of action. Both teams had several chances to score but great goalkeeping kept the game scoreless. Pfeiffer is now 4-5-1 on the year while Catawba is now 3-2-2.
Catawba had more control of the ball for the first half but the Falcon defense led by Celia Walpole kept the Indians scoreless and at halftime the score was 0-0.
Both defenses held up in the second half. Falcon Megan Reaves had a chance in the 80th minute but her shot hit the crossbar and bounced straight down but did not cross the line.
Pfeiffer's Kirsten Bratsch had two great scoring opportunities in overtime. With two minutes to go in the first overtime Bartsch took the ball down the right side and blasted a shot that hit both bars in the upper right corner of the goal. In the second overtime Bartsch took a pass and beat two defenders but her shot went just wide into the side netting.
Catawba outshot Pfeiffer for the game by a count of 19-8. The fouls were pretty even as Pfeiffer had 9 and Catawba 10.
Pfeiffer will host conference rival Barton next Tuesday at 2:00 pm
