Falcons Fall to Tusculum

Misenheimer, NC---The Pfeiffer baseball team lost to Tusculum 16-2 in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon. With the loss the Falcons fall to 10-9. Tusculum improves to 9-5.

Tusculum jumped on the board with a run in the second and two in the third and grabbed a 3-0 lead. A 8-run fifth built the lead to 12-0.

Pfeiffer scored twice in the bottom of the fifth on a Josh Strickland RBI single and a Pioneer error but that was all the Falcons could manage.

Tusculum picked up four more runs in the seventh and held on for a 16-2 win.

Zack Strickland took the loss for the Falcons, giving up six earned runs in four innings.

Pfeiffer will play Lander Thursday at 2:30 pm.
