|Falcons Lose 3-2 to #2 Lees-McRae|

|Misenheimer, NC---The Pfeiffer men's soccer team came up just short, 3-2, in their attempt to upset nationally ranked #2 Lees-McRae Saturday afternoon. The Falcons jumped to a 2-0 lead at half-time but the Bobcats came back with 3 in the second half to pull out the win. Pfeiffer is now 7-6-1 on the season and 3-3-1 in the conference. The Bobcats are 13-1-1 and 7-1. |
Renato Barboa gave the Falcons an early lead when he scored off an assist from Matt Harris in the fifth minute.
Mat Harris scored the second Pfeiffer goal in the 28th minute off a pas from Austin Knight.
At halftime the Falcons led 2-0.
Six minutes into the second half Lees-McRae scored their first goal, with Berin Boracic scoring.
In the 72nd minute Lee Squires scored to tie the game at 2.
With only 8 minutes to go Boracic scored his second goal of the game to give the Bobcats the 3-2 win.
There was one red card for each team and 11 yellow cards, six for the Bobcats and five for the Falcons, given during the game.
Pfeiffer will travel to Mount Olive on Monay for a 5:00 pm game.
