|Falcons Lose in 5 to Cobras|

|Hartsville, SC- In the most heated volleyball game of the year, Coker defeated Pfeiffer in game five 26-24 to give the Cobras a 3-2 victory over the Falcons on Tuesday night in collegiate volleyball. The win improves Coker's record to 10-12 overall, and 7-4 in Conference Carolinas play, while Pfeiffer falls to 12-8 overall, and 6-4 in the conference. |
The fifth game of the match was only supposed to be played to 15 points, but neither team seemed to want to do that, as there were 12 lead changes and numerous game points.
For Pfeiffer, Petra Ljubicic had 20 kills and three aces, while Lauren Spiotta had 15 kills and three blocks. Lauren Elmore and Brittany Dickens each had 11 kills, while Morgan Liebert had 52 assists.
Leading the Cobras, with a pair of double-doubles was Megan Haupt with 25 kills and 18 digs and Natalie Schembra with 13 kills and 29 digs, while Margaret Madison had 22 kills and four aces.
Pfeiffer will return to action Saturday when they host St. Andrews Presbyterian at 2:00 pm.
