Falcons Lose in Semis

Queens College of Charlotte (21-8) defeated Pfeiffer University (21-8) 92-78 in a men's basketball semi-final Thursday evening. The Royals jumped out to a 53-19 half-time lead and never looked back. The Falcons shot 19% from the field and 13% from the three in the first half, while the Royals knocked down 50% of their shots. The Royals were led by Darnell Evans 26 pts/ 6 rebs, John Thompson 16 pts/ 25 rebounds and Reggie Hopkins 20 pts. The Falcons were led by Josh Roper 18 pts and Thomas Carr 12 pts/ 6 rebs. Queens wil travel to Mt. Olive Saturday evening for the Conference Carolinas Cahmpionship and a berth in the NCAA Championship.
