Falcons Lose to Abbey

dickens.jpgBELMONT, NC--- The Pfeiffer volleyball team closed out the 2007 regular season with a 3-1 loss to Belmont-Abbey Friday evening. Game scores were 30-26, 21-30, 30-21 and 30-27. The Crusaders improve to 9-23 overall and 7-13 in Conference Carolinas, while the Falcons slip to 19-12 overall and 12-8 in Conference Carolinas.

The Falcons were led by Brittany Dickens's 14 kills, while Lauren Spiotta added 12. Victoria Parish and Petra Ljubicic both finished with 10. Setter Morgan Liebert finished with 49 assists and nine digs. Libero Brittany Poole led the Falcons with 14 digs, while Nicole Cummings added 12 and Ljubicic added 10.

Pfeiffer will play in the conference tournamet next week. Date, time and opponent will be determined tomorrow.
