In the 65th minute a long ball from the Crusaders took a bad bounce and put Celene Molera in on a breakaway against Falcon keeper Suzie Hinman. Molera was able to just beat Hinman into the right side of the net to give Abbey a 1-0 lead. Th Falcons pushed forward the last twenty minutes but were unable to tie the game. The Falcons had two good chances to score in the last twelve minutes, both on free kicks. Niki Reis' free kick from 20 yards out was stopped by the Crusader goalie on a nice save. Megan Reeves' free kick went just over the top of the crossbar. Pfeiffer outshot Belmont 10-5 for the game. Pfeiffer travels to Mt. Olive Wednesday for a 4:00 pm game. |
