| Men's Basketball Falls to Fairrmont State |

| Glenville, WV---The Pfeiffer men's basketball team lost their first game of the year 104-94 to Fairmont State (WV) in the finals of the Glenville State Classic. Pfeiffer led 40-32 with three minutes to go in the first half when Fairmont went on a and 11-0 run to lead 43-40 at halftime. Fairmont stretched the lead to as many as 20 in the second half before Pfeiffer cut it to seven with 5:32 to go. Demario Grier led the Falcons with 30 points on 18 shots for another highly productive night and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Tavares Cooper had 18 points and six rebounds and was 15-15 from the free throw line for the tournament, despite playing with the flu that has struck the team. The Falcons played without point guard Derek Moore who was also sick. Freshman Marcus Hodges filling in for Moore had 11 points on 4-7 shooting. |
