| Men's Basketball Wins By Thirty |

| Laurinburg, NC---Pfeiffer defeaated St. Andrews Presbyterian 100-70 in CVAC men's basketball action Monday night. The Falcons(15-8,9-7) used a balanced scoring attack and thier pressure defense to hold off the Knights(9-15,6-11). Robert McGriff scored 21 points and 8 rebounds to lead Pfeiffer. St. Andrews grabbed an early lead but Pfeiffer quickly fought back to tie the game at 11 after four minutes. The Knights were hot early on and built a 34-26 lead with ten minutes to go until halftime. The Falcons stormed back and outscored the Knights 20-6 over the rest of the half to lead 46-40 at the break. Pfeiffer quickly built a double-digit lead in the second half. The Falcons led by ten after five minutes and built the lead to 23 with ten minutes to go. Pfeiffer refused to let up and incresed their lead to thirty with four minutes left and held on to win 100-70. Robert McGriff led Pfeiffer with 21 points and 8 rebounds. DeMario Grier, Tavares Cooper and Logan Call each had 17 points. Pfeiffer shot 15 for 32 from beyond the arc for the game. Pfeiffer will host Lees-McRae at 7:30 pm Thursday. |
