Pfeiffer Falls in First Round

Belmont, NC---The third-seeded Belmont Abbey men's lacrosse team defeated the sixth-seeded Pfeiffer Falcons 12-8 in the opening round of the Conference Carolinas Tournament Tuesday evening. The Crusaders improve to 7-4, while the Falcons end their season with a 3-9 mark.

Pfeiffer scored two goals in the last two minutes of the half to tie the game at five at the break.

The Falcons scored quickly in the third quarter but Belmont responded with three straight goals to take an 8-6 lead.

Pfeiffer fought back but the Crusaders held on for a 12-8 win.

Chad Olsen led the Falcons with three goals, while five others added one each.
