Pfeiffer Loses 6-1

Misenheimer, NC---Pfeiffer lost Monday to top-ranked Mount Olive 6-1 in Conference Carolinas baseball action. The Falcons fall to 13-14 overall and 4-8 in the conference. Mont Olive is now 23-1 and 9-0.

Pfeiffer jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first. Zack Pou led off the inning with a single. After an out Bryan Braxon singled Pou to third. Then Will Davis singled to drive in Pou.

The Trojans tied the game with a run in the second.

Mount Olive used four hits and a walk to score four runs in the third to take control of the game. The Trojans added another run in the fourth to lead 6-1.

Pfeiffer loaded the bases in the eighth but could not score. They also got two on in the ninth and again came up empty.

Nick Fogleman took the loss for Pfeiffer after giving up six runs in seven innings.

Pfeiffer will host Bryant Tuesday at 3:00 pm.
