| Pfeiffer Loses to Anderson |

| Misenheimer, NC---The Pfeiffer women’s basketball team lost to conference leading Anderson Thursay night by a score of. The Falcons, playing with only seven players, fall to 6-10 overall and 3-6 I the conference. Anderson now stands at 14-2 overall and 8-1 in the conference. Anderson started the game on a 9-0 run in the first three minutes. Anderson stretched their lead but the Falcons tried to fight back and when Devona Knight scored on a follow up rebound the lead was 27-11 with 8:45 left until halftime. Anderson led by Nikki Anthony’s 17 first half points went into the break up 42-17. An 8-0 Falcon run cut the Anderson lead to 48-25 with 14:40 to go. The Falcons kept up the pressure and when Devona Knight hit a lay-up the Falcons had cut the lead 20 at 52-32. At the nine minute mark Kalee Smith hit a three-pointer and the Falcons were only down 15 at 52-37. The Trojans settled down and pulled away from there and won the game 70-44. Devona Knight led the Falcons with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Kalee Smith added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Nikki Anthony finished wih 25 points for Anderson. Pfeiffer returns to action Saturday when they travel to St. Andrews Presbyterian for a 2:00 pm game. |
