Pfeiffer Loses to Limestone

Misenheimer, NC---Pfeiffer lost to Limestone 75-48 in Conference Carolinas women’s basketball action Thursday night. The Falcons now stand at 6-13 on the season and 3-9 in the conference. Limestone is 12-10 and 7-5. Ashelle Athill had 15 points to lead the Falcons.

The teams battled evenly the first three minutes and the score was tied at 4 all.

Limestone then went on a 21-0 run to take control of the game.

The Falcons fought hard and played the Saints evenly the rest of the half and went into the break trailing 38-16.

Down 43-20 the Falcons went on a 9-0 run to get back into the game.

However, that was as close as Pfeiffer could get as the Saints hit 82% (28-34) from the line to keep the lead in double figures.

Ashelle Athill led the Falcons with 15 points. Octavia Trammell had 10 rebounds. Monica Adams had 13 points to lead Limestone.

Pfeiffer will travel to Queens on Saturdy for a 5:30 pm game.
