| Pfeiffer Opens Season With Sweep |

| Misenheimer, NC---The Pfeiffer baseball team opened their season with two come from behind victories to sweep Lenoir-Rhyne in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon. The Falcons won game one 7-4, after trailing 4-1, and won game two in extra innings 4-3, after being behind by a score of 3-1. The two teams will play a single game Sunday at 1:00 pm. The Falcons won game one 7-4. Pfiffer grabbed a 1-0 lead in the second. The Bears got four runs off Falcon starter Jonathan McDniel in the fifth. The Falcons exploded for six runs in the bottom of the sixth highlighted by a Bryan Braxton home run. McDaniel (1-0) settled down and pitched seven innings and turned the game over to the Pfeiffer bullpen who held the Bears the final two innings.
The Falcons game two 4-3 in extra innings. Lenoir-Rhyne took a 3-1 lead into the bottom of the fifth. The Falcons scratched a run in the fifth and then tied it in the sixth on a Hayes Hinson home run. Falon starter Ben Beard gave up three runs in six innings before Adam Sedbery (1-0), who picked up the save in game one, came in for the final two innings. The Falcons got a run in the bottom of the eighth to complete the sweep.
