Pfeiffer Wins Conference Opener

kerth4.jpgGaffney, SC---The Pfeiffer University women's soccer team picked up its first Conference Carolinas win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Limestone College on Saturday afternoon. The Saints fall to 1-5 overall (0-1 Conference Carolinas) as Pfeiffer improves to 2-4 (1-0 conference).

In the second half, Madison Kerth scored for the Falcons in the 50th minute off a pass from Kirsten Bartsch. Megan Reaves gave Pfeiffer the 2-0 win in the 79th minute as Bartsch and Angela Reale got the assists.

Pfeiffer had a narrow 14-11 advantage on shots and a 7-2 advantage on corner kicks.

Saint Brittany Clark had seven saves for the match while Suzie Hinman had five for the Falcons.

Pfeiffer will host Lenoir-Rhyne Monday at 4:00 pm.
