Voleyball Falls to Converse 3-0

Misenheimer, NC---Pfeiffer lost to Converse 3-0 in CVAC volleyball action Sunday afternoon. The game scores were 33-31,30-19, and 30-28. Pfeiffer honored their lone senior Heather Klein before the game today.

Game one was a close one throughout. Converse went out to a 11-5 lead but Pfeiffer behind the hitting of Victoria Parrish came back to tie the game at 18. Converse went back up 26-22 but the Falcons rallied and had game point three times but couldn't convert. At 31 all Converse served two aces to take the game 33-31.

Game two started out even reaching 4 all. converse stretched the lead to 9-6 then went on a 10-0 run to take control of the game. The Falcons tried to fight back cutting the lead to 24-16 at onepoint but couldn't get closer as the All-Stars won game two 30-19.

Pfeiffer came out fast and jumped to an 8-1 lead behind the great play of Heather Klein. The Falcons continued to play well and pulled ahead 16-7. converse went on a 6-0 run to cut the lead to three, 16-13. Two aces in a row by Converse tied the game at 18. It went back and forth from there until it was 27 to 27. An incredible point at 28-27 was won by Converse with a block and after a Pfeiffer error the All-Stars won 30-28.

Pfeiffer will return to action on Wednesday night when they host Barton at 7:00 pm.
