Pfeiffer Athletic Director/VP for Athletics Bob Reasso has announced the hiring of Krissy Bentolila as the team’s head women’s lacrosse coach, effective immediately. Bentolila is a 2009 graduate of Pfeiffer and most recently served as the Assistant Coach at Kennesaw St.
Bentolila was a standout on the lacrosse field for the Falcons from 2005-09 and served as the team’s co-captain in 2008-09. She was named to the All-Conference team in 2008 and 2009 and was an All-Academic performer the same two year’s. She earned Second Team All-Region honors in 2009 and was a four-year member of the Dean’s List. She currently ranks third all-time in assists (69) and points (172) and sixth in goals scored (103).
After her time in Misenheimer, Bentolila was named the assistant coach at Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. She served as the offensive coordinator and oversaw the strength and conditioning workouts of the Division I program. She was also the team academic advisor and was in charge of recruiting and film exchange.
After a season at Presbyterian, Bentolila was hired to the same position at Queens University in May 2011 where she performed many of the same duties.
“I am so excited to be back coaching at my alma mater with a very talented group of players,” said Bentolila. “I want to thank Bob Reasso and the rest of the administration for the incredible opportunity to lead this program. I am looking forward to keeping the momentum going with this team as they come off of their most successful season in Pfeiffer history.”
Bentolila earned her bachelors in Sports Management in 2009 and also received her masters of Science in Leadership in 2013 from Pfeiffer.
Corina MahornGraduate Assistant Coach

Corina Mahorn enters her first season on the Pfeiffer women’s lacrosse coaching staff. Mahorn has extensive playing and coaching experience, including her time training with the Team Canada National Team for the World Cup as well as Division I playing experience at the University of Detroit Mercy. She has also coached internationally with the Oshawa Lady Blue Knights U19 squad.
In 2005, the Whitby, Ontario native spent time playing in Australia. She also began training for the Canadian National Team in 2007 and made it until the last cuts just prior to the World Cup. She then began playing for Club Oshawa’s Lady Blue Knights and caught the attention of Division I coaching staffs. Mahorn decided to attend the University of Detroit Mercy and was a four-year midfielder and two-time captain, for the Titans from 2008-12. In 2012, she was selected to the NLC Second Team after recording 24 goals, 35 points and 43 draw controls. She also earned NLC’s Defensive Player of the Week honors on April 9, 2012, as she picked up 23 ground balls and had 12 caused turnovers. For her career, she posted 110 goals and 135 points, good for third in school history and added 146 draw controls and 25 assists.
Mahorn also excelled off the field, being selected to the UDM Athletic Director’s Honor Roll four times and was tabbed to the NLC All-Academic Team three times.
After graduation, Mahorn again tried out for Team Canada and played in the North American Cup Challenge. She also played in the Stars and Stripes game for Team Canada in October 2012. Again, she advanced to the final round of cuts before the World Cup, coming just shy of making the squad.
Mahorn has spent four years as an Assistant Coach of the Lady Blue Knights and helped guide the team to a Provincial Championship in 2013. She graduated in 2012 with a degree in Accounting.
