Bohannon Accepts Position at Western Carolina

After three years at Pfeiffer, Assistant Athletic Trainer Nicole Bohannon has accepted a position on the Athletic Training Staff at Western Carolina University.

"I am thankful that being at Pfeiffer the last three years has allowed me to advance to this next step in my career," said Bohannon. "I have worked with some incredible athletes during my time here and I am so grateful for that."

This season, Bohannon has worked with the women's soccer, women's basketball and women's lacrosse teams. Prior to her arrival in Misenheimer, Nicole worked as a certified intern athletic trainer in Alabama at Auburn University. She helped to provide coverage for both Women's Soccer and Gymnastics during Auburn's 2014-2015 school year.

Bohannon earned a Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science/Sports Medicine from Campbellsville University in 2012; not far from her hometown of Louisville, KY. She went on to earn a Master's Degree in Athletic Training from the University of Findlay, OH in 2014.

"It's bittersweet to see Nicole go," commented Darci Dickison, Director of Sports Medicine. "She is such a great Athletic Trainer and the student-athletes really enjoyed her. Her goal has been to work at a Division I school so we wish her all the best."
