Justan Mounts Tabbed to Lead Pfeiffer Co-Ed Cheerleading Program

Misenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 2, 2018) – Justan Mounts has been selected to head the Pfeiffer University co-ed cheerleading and dance program.

"Justan brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will be a great asset to our Cheer and Dance program", said athletics director Danielle Lafferty.

Mounts served as team captain during his time as a cheerleader at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, N.C.  While at Lees-McRae, he was responsible in the planning of practices, choreographing competition routines and teaching skills including partner stunts, tumbling and pyramids.

The co-ed LMC squad participated in large-scale co-ed and partner stunt competitions.

Prior to his time at Lees-McRae, Mounts spent one season as part of the East Tennessee State University cheerleading squad.

Mounts also spend time with the Top Gun All Stars, a coed partner stunt competition team that captured the 1999 ECA National Championship.

In 2002 his LMC team finished in second-place in the CANAM Collegiate co-ed division and then won the 2003 CANAM collegiate co-ed division and the partner stunt individuals while in 2004, finished in second-place at a competition in Tampa, Fla.  In 2005, his team at Lees-McRae won the CANAM title in the collegiate co-ed division for the second time.
