MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- It was a senior day to remember as the Pfeiffer men’s soccer team earned a 4-0 victory over Huntingdon. In Pfeiffer’s final home game of the 2017 season, the Falcons capped off a great weekend with their second shutout in as many days. It was Pfeiffer’s eighth win of the year, improving their record to 8-6-1.
Though Pfeiffer (2-19) dropped both of their matches on Saturday afternoon to William Peace (15-16) and to the host school, Ferrum (5-20), the Falcons made it interesting in the second match of the day against the Panthers as they took the third set of the match 25-23. Erin Errington had three of her nine kills in set three and Katie Anne Wilson had seven of her team-high 19 assists.

The senior posted what is believed to be the best time by a female runner in Pfeiffer cross country history, crossing the finish line in a time of 18:33 and in front of many Division I runners at the Queen City Invitational.

Tonight marked the 26th meeting between the two programs since 1998 and was the Royals first head-to-head victory over the Falcons since a 3-1 win in 2011. Pfeiffer had been 4-0-1 against Queens since 2011 and the Falcons own a 10-9-8 record in the ultra-competitive rivalry.

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. -- Caleb Bratager's golden goal in the 105th minute sent the Pfeiffer men's soccer team (4-4) to its third straight victory, a 2-1 triumph in double overtime over Covenant (3-7-1) on Saturday afternoon. The goal was Bratager's fifth of the season and his first career game-winner. Bratager has netted at least one goal in four straight matches.
FERRUM, Va. — Thanks to three first half goals, all of corner kicks by Kat Kelley, the Pfeiffer women’s soccer team (6-3) extended its win streak to five in a row with a 3-0 victory over Ferrum (5-5) on Saturday afternoon. Maddie Capel, Cayci Eaton and Tori Jackson all scored with Kelley getting three assists and finished one shy of tying the single game record of four set by Megan Blevins in 2008.
The Pfeiffer Cross Country teams competed at the Maryville College Invitational hosted by Maryville College on Friday Saturday. The women placed three runners in the top 11 en route to a third-place team finish, while the men also placed third on the day.
