MISENHEIMER, N.C. -- Thanks to a 63-51 victory over Greensboro (10-4) on Sunday afternoon, the Pfeiffer women's basketball team ran its winning streak to seven straight. The Falcons used a 16-6 fourth quarter advantage to earn their 10th victory of the season.
The Pfeiffer women’s basketball team continued their winning ways on Saturday as they defeated Averett (8-6) 77-66. The Falcons (9-1) extend their win streak to 6 games. Freshman A’Maya McClain was the high scorer on the afternoon as she scored 22 points while going 7-12 from the floor, including going 2-3 from behind the arc.

DANVILLE, VA – For the first time since the 2003-04 season, the Pfeiffer men’s basketball team has won its first nine games of the season with a 109-77 victory over Averett (6-5) on Tuesday evening. The ’03-’04 Falcons hold the record for most wins in a season with 31 so the current edition of Pfeiffer’s basketball team is in elite company.

FERRUM, VA – Senior Josh Calhoun stayed red-hot as the Pfeiffer men’s basketball team (7-0) ran its win streak to seven in a row to open the 2017-18 campaign with a dominant 103-62 victory over Ferrum (2-7) on Wednesday night. Calhoun followed up his 46-point outburst on Saturday with a 30-point showing tonight as the Rockingham, NC native went 9-of-12 from the field and 8-of-11 from long range. Over his last two contests, Calhoun has converted a staggering 18 3-pointers.

Calhoun came just four points shy of tying Tony Smith's all-time mark of 50 points in a game and he tied the program mark for most made 3-pointers in a game with 10.
MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Sydni Bickford and Dajea Scott combined for 13 points in the fourth quarter as Pfeiffer (4-1) erased a 77-70 deficit with 5:40 to play and came away with an 87-83 victory inside Merner Gym on Saturday afternoon over Columbia College (2-11). Bickford scored all seven of her fourth-quarter points in the final 2:59, which started with a go-ahead jumper to put Pfeiffer ahead 80-79.
MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Vice President for Athletics Bob Reasso announced this afternoon that Jordan Stampler has been named the Pfeiffer Baseball Head Coach. Stampler becomes the seventh head coach in program history and has served as the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator with the Falcons for the past two-and-a-half years.
MISENHEIMER, N.C. – After five successful seasons as the head coach of the Pfeiffer baseball team, Dusty Blake has announced his resignation to become the pitching coach at Duke University. Blake joins the staff of Chris Pollard who was the head coach at Pfeiffer from 2000-04.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Pfeiffer men’s basketball team (5-0) used a record-breaking performance from Marcus Sawyers to defeat Greensboro (2-4) by a final score of 113-85 on Wednesday evening. Sawyers broke the program record for highest field goal percentage in a game with his 11-for-12 (91.6 percent) performance. Sawyers knocked down all four of his attempts from long range and topped the previous mark for the highest percentage of made field goals with a minimum of eight made shots. The record of 88.9 percent (8-of-9) was set by Jerod Wallace on Feb. 12, 2013, against Barton.

RALEIGH, N.C. -- For the first time since the 2012-13 season, the Pfeiffer women's basketball is off to a 3-0 start thanks to tenacious defense and an uptempo offense. For the second consecutive game, the Falcons broke the program record for most shot attempts in a game, hoisting 98 attempts in 40 minutes en route to a 92-69 victory over Meredith (0-7) on Sunday afternoon.
On Saturday, the Pfeiffer Falcons opened up their indoor portion of their track and field season as they competed in the JDL Kick-off Classic. The Falcons were one of a few Division III schools present, but their main competition was against former Division II foes and Division I athletes.

The duo becomes ninth and tenth players in program history to be named to the All-State team.
MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Pfeiffer Vice President for Athletics Bob Reasso announced today that the Falcons have become the 108th Division III program to join the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). Pfeiffer becomes the first DIII program from North Carolina to join the prestigious Conference and the move will allow Pfeiffer an opportunity to play in the postseason immediately while they continue to transition to full members of DIII.
