MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer University Athletics has announced the hiring of Jenn Flaherty as the sixth head coach in women’s lacrosse history. Flaherty has plenty of knowledge of the Falcons as she joins the Pfeiffer family after six years as head coach at Conference Carolinas opponent Belmont Abbey College.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Thanks to a record-breaking season, the Pfeiffer softball team ended the 2017 campaign ranked No. 18 in the nation in the final National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll. The Falcons broke program records for most wins in a season (46) and highest winning percentage (.852) under second year head coach Monte Sherrill.
HIGH POINT, N.C. – Conference Carolinas is proud to announce the Spring Scholar Athletes of the Year, as voted on by the student-athlete affairs committee. This prestigious award is presented annually to a student-athlete in each sport for recognition of their outstanding performance on the field and in the classroom.
Pfeiffer University is dropping the men’s volleyball program, effective immediately. With the move to Division III and the USA South Athletic Conference, the university was unable to find a way to continue competing in the sport.
Pfeiffer University Athletics and the Falcon Club, Pfeiffer athletics’ booster organization, hosted the 2017 Keith Crisco Memorial Golf Tournament on Monday, May 22 at the Old North State Club in New London, N.C. The foursome of Chris Costa, John Coyne, Scott Harvey and Jason Ofsanko came home with a first place finish at the tournament on a beautiful May afternoon and set a new tournament record with a score of 47.
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - A pair of Pfeiffer Falcons were named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Softball All-Southeast Region team on Monday afternoon. Freshman third basemen Makenzie Pennell and senior pitcher Sydney Poole earned Second Team All-Region honors.

SAVANNAH, GA - For the second straight season, the Pfeiffer softball team (45-6) defeated a higher-seeded opponent in its NCAA Tournament opener as the Falcons outlasted No. 2 seed Carson-Newman (43-12) by a score of 7-4 in nine innings on Thursday afternoon. Kiana Millsaps had four runs batted in, including the game-winning hit in the ninth inning as Pfeiffer ended a 21-game head-to-head losing streak against the Eagles.
For the third time in program history and second consecutive year, the Pfeiffer softball team will compete in the NCAA Tournament. In its opener, the Falcons take on South Atlantic Conference opponent Carson-Newman at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the campus of Armstrong St.
MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer University athletics has announced the resignation of former women’s lacrosse head coach Chandler Borrosh. Borrosh guided the Falcons for two seasons before stepping down to pursue a career in the medical field.

A pair of Pfeiffer women’s lacrosse alums will square off Sunday with a trip to the NCAA Tournament on the line as Campbell takes on High Point in the Big South Conference Tournament Championship game at noon. The game will air at noon and feature Lydnsey Boswell’s top-seeded High Point squad taking on Dawn Easley’s Campbell team and will be broadcast on ESPN3.

BURLINGTON, N.C. - A pair of extra inning walk offs kept the Pfeiffer softball teams’ hopes alive for a second straight Conference Carolinas Tournament title on a hot Saturday afternoon. The Falcons outlasted Lees-McRae 2-1 in 10 innings to start the day and then topped Limestone 5-4 in nine innings. Needing a third straight win on a 90 degree day, Pfeiffer beat Erskine 7-2 in the night cap and move on to tomorrow’s championship round to play North Greenville.

ELON, N.C. – The No. 6 seeded Pfeiffer Falcons (23-23) used an eight run sixth inning to knock off the No. 1 seeded and the nations top ranked team, Mount Olive (42-8) on Thursday night in Conference Carolinas Tournament play. Pfeiffer improved to 3-0 in the first round of Conference Tournament action in the past three season with a 9-2 upset victory.
