    ELON, N.C. – Propelled by a seven-run seventh inning, the No. 6-seeded Pfeiffer University baseball team (24-23) picked up its second win in as many days, eliminating No. 4 seed Barton (28-23) from the Conference Carolinas tournament with a decisive 13-5 final score.

    CENTRAL, S.C. – The Pfeiffer University's men's and women's track and field teams completed day one of the Conference Carolinas Championships in Central, South Carolina on Friday afternoon. There were three podium finishes, including two first-place captures. Three new school records were set.

    BURLINGTON, N.C. – The No. 1-seeded Pfeiffer University softball team (41-5) split the opening day of the Conference Carolinas tournament on Friday, beating No. 8 seed Lees-McRae, 8-3 in game one but then falling to No. 5 seed Erskine in a 3-0 upset in game two.
  • Pfeiffer Baseball Does It Again; Falcons Stun No. 1 Seed in Conference Tournament Opener

    ELON, N.C. – The No. 6 seeded Pfeiffer Falcons (23-23) used an eight run sixth inning to knock off the No. 1 seeded and the nations top ranked team, Mount Olive (42-8) on Thursday night in Conference Carolinas Tournament play. Pfeiffer improved to 3-0 in the first round of Conference Tournament action in the past three season with a 9-2 upset victory. It was also the second straight year Pfeiffer entered as the No. 6 seed and knocked off the league’s top seed in game one.

Makenzie Pennell was named the league’s freshman of the year and Monte Sherrill earned coach of the year honors. Additionally, Pfeiffer placed six players on the all-conference team.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The No. 4-seeded Pfeiffer University women’s lacrosse team (9-7) fell to No. 5 seed North Greenville (10-8) by a final score of 11-8 in the quarterfinals of the Conference Carolinas tournament on Wednesday afternoon. With the loss, the Falcons have concluded their 2017 season.

    SNOW HILL, N.C. – One day after being named first team All-Conference Carolinas for the 2016-17 golf season, Pfeiffer junior Meghan Holbrooks (Winston Salem, N.C. / Ledford HS) opened the conference championship tournament with a 74 (+2) to enter the second day tied for 4th place out of 53 total participants at the Cutter Creek Golf Club in Snow Hill, North Carolina.

The Falcons entered as the No. 5 seed but saw its 2017 campaign come to a close at the hands of the No. 4 seeded Crusaders.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Thanks to a rainout of Pfeiffer's doubleheader against King, the Falcons secured their first Conference Carolinas regular season championship since the 2000 season and their third since 1990. The Falcons hold a one game lead over Limestone and will claim the top seed in next week's conference tournament.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Thanks to a sweep of King on Friday night, the Pfeiffer baseball team (21-23, 11-15 CC) clinched the No. 6 seed in the upcoming Conference Carolinas Tournament. The Falcons needed to take two of three this weekend from the Tornado (19-26, 9-17) and have Mount Olive beat Limestone twice. Both came through successfully as Pfeiffer looks to advance to their third straight Conference Tournament Championship game.
