Merner Pool

There have been numerous changes to Merner Pool over the last five years.  Every square inch of wall space was painted, ten benches were constructed; each measuring 12' in length, graphics have been added to the walls, and a new sound system was installed two years ago.  The pool itself was resurfaced four years ago and the stands have been re-carpeted for better viewing pleasure. Additionally, a completely new timing system that includes a full six-line scoreboard was mounted. All those upgrades, however, pale in comparison to “Big Frank” as his designer calls him. Created by Coach Eric Anderson's father, Craig, Big Frank measures 17-feet tall and was hand-crafted.  He sits on the same side of the wall as the starting blocks and strikes fear into the hearts of opponents. Most of the work around the facility was completed by Craig, a retired principal and former swim coach.
