Rob Robinson enters his first season as Assistant Coach for the Pfeiffer University baseball team.  Robinson comes to Pfeiffer following a graduate assistant role with Missouri State University.  Robinson slid into the role of graduate assistant for the Bears in 2013 following a stint as a student assistant during the fall of 2012.

While coaching at Missouri State, Robinson was involved in the mentoring of Bears' catcher Luke Voit who was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 22nd round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.  Also while at Missouri State, Robinson contributed to game planning as well as preparing players mentally and physically on a daily basis.  During his tenure as the Bears' graduate assistant, Robinson also served as the bullpen catcher for the Double-A Springfield Cardinals.  While Robinson was a member of the Cardinals squad, they were named the 2012 MILB Team of the Year and won the Texas League.

Robinson also boasts a stellar collegiate baseball career as a two-year letter winner with the Valparaiso Crusaders.  While a member of the Crusaders' squad, Robinson saw time in over 99 games and amassed a .309 batting average.  During his first season at Valparaiso, Robinson earned a spot on the Horizon League All-Newcomer Team.  At the 2010 Conference Championship, Robinson received All-Tourney recognition and then wrapped up his career in 2011 with a Second Team All-League nod.  Robinson competed in his first two seasons at the collegiate level as a member of the Irvine Valley College baseball team.

Robinson graduated from Valparaiso in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Communications, and is a native of Brea, California.
