Scott Nolt, a 2001 Pfeiffer graduate, spent eight years as the Pfeiffer’s men’s and women’s Cross Country Head Coach before moving to an assistant in 2014.
Both the men’s and women’s programs have risen since Nolt has taken the reigns. In his second season, Nolt guided the men to a ninth-place finish in NCAA Regionals and led the women to a 10th place finish in the same event. The men’s program has won back-to-back Hagan Stone Classics over the past two years, and Nolt coached Will Oliver to a Runner of the Week award last season.
Prior to taking over the Falcons program, Nolt was the head cross country and assistant track coach, and also taught Social Studies at Jay M. Robinson High School in Concord.
As a student athlete at Pfeiffer, Nolt was a member of the cross country team for four seasons. He was named to the Academic All-Conference team three seasons and was voted the team MVP in 2000. Nolt graduated suma cum laude with a B.A. in History and a minor in Philosophy.
Nolt was born and raised in Manitoba, Canada and now resides in Harrisburg, N.C.
