Falcons Dismantle Barber Scotia, 105-54

CONCORD, N.C. – In game two of the StatGeek Tip Off Classic, Pfeiffer (2-0) dismantled Barber Scotia (3-5) by a final score of 105-54 on Sunday afternoon. Once again, 14 players scored in the victory led by 15 apiece from Josh Calhoun and Eric Ambrosio.

The Falcons forced the Sabers into 43 turnovers on the evening and recorded 24 steals. Calhoun had a career-high seven steals in just 18 minutes of play. For the second time, Marcus Sawyers had a monster game off the bench, recording 12 points and seven rebounds in just 15 minutes. Blake Smith added 10 points off the bench as the Pfeiffer reserves held a 65-25 advantage in bench scoring.

Pfeiffer had the lead to as many as 62 points with 3:23 to play before the Sabers cut it down to 54. Pfeiffer held a 48-45 advantage on the glass and scored 52 points off turnovers.

The Falcons shot 45.8 percent from the field and held the hosts to 26.4 percent shooting and 21.7 percent from long range.

Pfeiffer led the whole way in this one-sided contests. The win represented the 98th career victory for Pfeiffer Head Coach Jeremy Currier.

Pfeiffer will turn their attention to the USA South as they take on Averett University on December 9 after a long layoff. The Cougars were picked to finish third in the USA South's East Division in the preseason coaches poll. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. inside Merner Gymnasium.
