Visiting Piedmont International University used a 18-4 run over the final three minutes of the game to take a 115-102 win over Pfeiffer University in men's basketball action at Merner Gym on Saturday afternoon.

With the Falcons clinging to a 98-97 lead with 3:05 to play, PIU's Malik Morris sank two free throws to put the Bruins up 99-98.  Following a Bruin timeout, Hysheam Weston's jumper extended the lead to 101-98.  Antoin Robinson then scored the next four points for PIU to make it 105-98 before Pfeiffer's Gabe Miller (Norfolk, Va.) canned a pair of free throws to bring the Falcons to within five points (105-100).

Teammate Nolan Whitener (Vale, N.C.) got a layup to fall to make it 105-102 with 1:22 to play, but PIU went on a 10-0 run to finish the game, taking the 115-102 win.

Individually, Pfeiffer's Kyle Riddley (Charlotte, N.C.) stayed hot in hitting for 43 points, including six three-pointers and going 11-of-15 from the free throw line.  He also posted a team-high seven rebounds on the afternoon.

Craig Sabb (Goose Creek, S.C.) and Blake Zieske (Belmont, N.C.) were the other two Falcons in double-figures with Sabb scoring 14 and Zieske finishing with 12 points.

PIU had five players in double-digits with Malik Morris finishing with 35 points while Morris had 20. Colton Bishop finished with 16 while Curtis Coleman and Kendall Oliver finishing with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

The loss drops the Falcons to 4-2 on the season while Piedmont International improves to 4-6 on the year.
