Men's Golf Opens Season at Queens Invitational

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. -- Competing in their first tournament of the season, the Pfeiffer men's golf team finished in 14th place at the Queens Invitational at Irish Creek. After three rounds of golf, Pfeiffer finished with a team score of 913. 

In his Pfeiffer debut, Parker Chavis led the Falcons with a 31st place finish after firing a pair of 73's on the first day and following up that performance with a 74 on day two. Cory Selander was Pfeiffer's second-ranked golfer on the day, firing a three-round total of 229. Hunter Dillard, Cameron Hall and Tim Hoffman rounded out the top five golfers for Pfeiffer.

Coker won the tournament, finishing with a team score of 853 for the tournament. 

The Falcons will return to action in a week as they compete in the King Invitational in Bristol, Tennessee. The tournament opens on Monday morning.
