MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The Pfeiffer men's lacrosse program announced its 2018 schedule this afternoon. Head Coach Scott Nelson's squad will embark on their inaugural season as members of the USA South Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III where Nelson previously won a National Championship at Nazareth College.

The Falcons will open against a familiar foe on Saturday, February 10 when they travel to Franklin Springs, GA to take on former Conference Carolinas foe Emmanuel at 2 p.m.

The home opener is set for February 17 when the Falcons host Southern Virginia at 1 p.m. Following the game in Misenheimer, the Falcons will travel to Savannah, GA to take on Neumann and Berry on the weekend of Feb. 24-25.

The first game of the year against a USA South Conference opponent is slated for March 3 when Averett comes to the village for a 1 p.m. contest.

On March 17, Pfeiffer travels to Methodist for a rematch of last year's classic that saw the Falcons defeat Methodist 11-10. The loss was one of only three on the season for the Monarchs who would finish 15-3 and win the SEILC Championship.

After a stretch of four straight road games, the Falcons finish the year with three of the last four games at N.E. Lefko Field. Pfeiffer will host Huntingdon (March 25), Greensboro (April 7) and Brevard (April 14) to close out the regular season.

The Falcons return three of their top four scorers from a season ago, including senior Blake Garlow who netted 31 goals and added 28 assists. Sophomore Jared Nelson is back for his second campaign after a rookie season that saw him hand out 44 assists, the fourth most in program history. Ryan Cummings returns as a junior after finishing with 20 goals and 11 assists in 2017.ficve
