DANBURY, CONN. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2018 Division III Men's Lacrosse major award winners and All-ECAC selections this morning. Pfeiffer's Blade Garlow and Jared Nelson were named Second Team All-ECAC and Honorable Mention All-ECAC respectively.
Garlow, a senior, had an outstanding 2018 campaign which led to a Second Team All-ECAC selection. Garlow scored 67 goals and handed out 23 assists to give him 90 points. Garlow's 67 goals broke a program record which had stood since 1992. Additionally, Garlow finished the year with 32 ground balls, 13 caused turnovers and led the Falcons with nine man-up goals.
Nelson, a sophomore from Vestal, N.Y., earned an Honorable Mention All-ECAC selection after a tremendous year. Nelson's 102 points in just 13 games rank as the second-most in program history, trailing only Kevin Iwanusa's 109 point output in 1997. Nelson dished out 64 assists and scored 38 goals on the year to go with 27 ground balls and eight caused turnovers.
The Falcons went 10-3 on the year and tied the program record for highest winning percentage (.769). Pfeiffer ended the year on a seven-game winning streak.
