Chris Brown's Hat Trick Leads Pfeiffer to 5-1 Win Over Frostburg State

Chris Brown's Hat Trick Propels Pfeiffer Men's Soccer to 4-1 Win Over Frostburg State

Fayetteville, N.C. (Sept. 8, 2018) – Chris Brown earned a hat trick as the Pfeiffer University men's soccer team claimed a 5-1 win over Frostburg State in Fayetteville, N.C. on Saturday afternoon.

Brown started the scoring at the nine-minute mark when he provided the unassisted goal past Frostburg State goalkeeper Joel Assal.  Brown added another unassisted goal less than three minutes later to make it 2-0.

Pfeiffer's Jonathan Quintero made it 3-0 in the 28th minute after he took a cross from Brown and drilled it into the net.  Teammate Enrique Vargas made it 4-0 after receiving a pass from Memo Pachecho in the 37th minute.

Brown notched his third goal of the match in the 73rd minute with an assist from Arian Cindahl after the entry pass caught the Frostburg keeper out of position, making the score 5-0.

Frostburg State avoided the shutout, scoring in the 78th minute to provide the eventual 5-1 final.

Pfeiffer's Jacob Hill earned the win in goal for the Falcons, improving to 2-1 on the season.

The Falcons will return to action on Sunday afternoon, taking on Marymount at 3:00 p.m. in Fayetteville, N.C.
