Pfeiffer Men's Soccer Earns 3-1 Win Over Marymount

Fayetteville, N.C. (Sept. 9, 2018) – Pfeiffer University got a goal and an assist from Caleb Bratenger en route to a 3-1 men's soccer win over Marymount at the Monarch SoccerPlex in Fayetteville, N.C. on Sunday afternoon.

Bratenger earned his assist on the first goal of the afternoon for the Falcons when he delivered a pass to teammate Carlot Cuadros, who deposited it into the back of the net for the 1-0 lead.

Marymount responded in the 60th minute when Rueben George scored an unassisted goal aver he chipped the ball over Pfeiffer goalkeeper Jacob Hill.

Bratenger then delivered the eventual game-winner in the 65th minute when he collected a deflection off Marymount goalkeeper Jonathan JosueCruz to make it 2-1.  Arian Cindahl capped the scoring for the Falcons after a pass from Conner Morgan and dribbled around the Marymount defender for the goal, providing the 3-1 final.

The win improves Pfeiffer to 3-1 on the season while Marymount drops to 0-5.

The Falcons will next be in action on Wednesday, Sept. 12 with a road matchup at William Peace University in Raleigh.  Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
