Falcons Slip Past Emmanuel 5-4

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA – Pfeiffer's men's tennis team (6-7, 2-3 CC) defeated Emmanuel 5-4 on Saturday afternoon, winning No. 1 and 2 doubles, and No. 1, 2, and 4 singles. The Falcons were led by Axel Woerner and Bjorn Barwinski, as the two both secured wins in doubles and singles.

Barwinski won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles; he and teammate Thomas Hubble took care of business at No. 1 doubles, winning their match 8-4. Woerner and Raul Ruiz also won 8-4 in doubles play, and Woerner claimed a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles for the Falcons.

David Weir put Pfeiffer over the top in No. 4 singles, winning 7-5, 6-4.

Looking for its second three-game winning streak of the 2016-17 season, PFU will host North Greenville next Saturday, April 1 at 2 p.m.
