Misenheimer, N.C. -- The Pfeiffer men's tennis team took the court Wednesday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center against Greensboro College and came away with a 7-2 victory. With the win, the Falcons improve to 10-2 on the season.
Pfeiffer's number one player for the match was David Weir. Weir defeated Carlos Barragan 6-2, 6-2 to start the afternoon. Raul Ruiz also came away with a victory, sweeping Jared Heller 6-0, 6-0. Ethan Elliott and Trey Speight also came away with wins in singles play.
The Falcons dominated doubles play sweeping all three matches. Thomas Hubble and Raul Ruiz won their match 8-0, while Weir and Bjorn Barwinski swept their match as well. To wrap up the day, the team of Tyler Harris and Arian Cindahl defeated Gabriel Reynosa Torian Bullock 8-1.
Pfeiffer will hit the court again on Friday when they travel to Averett to take on the Cougars. The match is scheduled for 2 p.m.
