Men's Tennis Improves To 12-2 With 7-2 Victory Over Greensboro

Greensboro N.C. -- It was another win for the Pfeiffer men's tennis team on Saturday as they defeated Greensboro 7-2. The win extends the team's win streak to 5 games. They have now swept the Pride on the season by winning both matches against them this season.

The Falcons took five out of the six singles matches on the afternoon. Bjorn Barwinski came through with a singles victory over the Pride's number one player Carlos Barragan 6-0, 6-1 to start the day. Senior Thomas Hubble also came away victorious over his opponent Daniel Christian 6-0, 6-0.

Other singles winners for Pfeiffer were Eduan Louw, who defeated Jared Heller 6-0, 6-2, Ethan Elliott (6-0, 6-2), and Trey Speight (6-1, 6-0).

In doubles play the Falcons took two out of three matches. Hubble and Raul Ruiz won their match over Barragan and Christian 8-1, while Barwinski and David Weir defeated Ryan Mule and Heller 8-0.

Pfeiffer's next match comes at home against Methodist on Friday. The match is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
