  • Falcons Clinch First Regular Season Championship Since 2000

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Thanks to a rainout of Pfeiffer's doubleheader against King, the Falcons secured their first Conference Carolinas regular season championship since the 2000 season and their third since 1990. The Falcons hold a one game lead over Limestone and will claim the top seed in next week's conference tournament.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - With an upset loss at the hands of North Greenville last week, the Pfeiffer softball team has dropped two spots and comes in at No. 4 in this week’s National Fast pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll. Harding and Humboldt State jumped past the Falcons who sit 38-4 on the year with four games left to play in the regular season.
  • Falcons Break Wins Record with Sweep of Belmont Abbey

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - With a sweep of Belmont Abbey on Wednesday night, the No. 4 Pfeiffer softball team (40-4, 18-2) broke the record for most wins in a season which was set a year ago. The Falcons 39 wins in 2016 were topped thanks to a 6-2 victory in game two as Pfeiffer wrapped up the home portion of their 2017 regular season.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The No. 2 Pfeiffer softball team (36-4, 14-2 CC) earned a split with North Greenville (27-17, 13-5 CC) on Thursday afternoon. The Falcons saw their eight game winning streak come to a close in game, dropping a 7-0 decision before rallying for a 6-3 win in game two.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Stephanie Fortner’s first career home run came at the perfect time as the No. 3 Pfeiffer softball team (35-3, 13-1 CC) survived an upset bid from Southern Wesleyan (7-29, 3-13) on Friday afternoon. With her team trailing 4-2 with two runners on and two out in the bottom of the sixth, Fortner’s line drive cleared the left field fence and gave the Falcons a 5-4 win in game one.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Strong pitching bailed out some cold bats as the No. 9 Pfeiffer softball team (31-3) swept Tuesday’s doubleheader against Winston Salem St. (7-21) at Jack Ingram Field. Pfeiffer pitchers allowed only one run on the day and held the Rams to just nine hits to win by scores of 1-0 and 4-1.

The win sets up a top-25 showdown between the Falcons and the No. 23 Saints which will be the first time two ranked teams from Conference Carolinas meet.

    WILSON, N.C. - The No. 15 Pfeiffer softball team (20-2, 2-0) swept its Conference Carolinas opener, defeating Barton (12-13, 1-3) by scores of 20-2 and 6-2 in a pair of five inning contests. In their four game winning streak, Pfeiffer has outscored their opponents 66-4.
