Pfeiffer's Vada Blue Sherrill Named USA South Softball Player of the Week
Misenheimer, N.C. – Pfeiffer University senior softball player Vada Blue Sherrill has been tabbed as the USA South Softball Player of the Week.
The shortstop from Hiddenite, N.C. went a combined 3-for-5 (.600) with a .714 on-base percentage and a 1.800 slugging percentage to go along with five runs scored, three RBI, one double, one triple, one home run, two walks and three stolen bases in a doubleheader sweep of Piedmont International to begin the season for the Falcons.
In game-two against the Bruins, Sherrill was 2-for-3 with three runs scored, two RBI, one double, one home run, one walk and one stolen base.
The Pfeiffer softball team will return to action on Monday, Feb. 25 with a road doubleheader at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at Biddleville Park.
