Danbury, Conn. – Sydni Bickford was named the ECAC Division III South Player of the Week as announced by the ECAC this afternoon. Bickford becomes the first Falcon to achieve this honor.
Bickford led the Falcons to a perfect 3-0 week as she recorded a career-high 33 points in a win over William Peace on Sunday afternoon. In her three games, Bickford knocked down 14 3-pointers and averaged 22.3 points per game. The junior guard also recorded 13 steals in the three contests and added 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, while only committing four turnovers. In her 33-point outburst, Bickford went 13-of-23 from the floor and 6-of-13 from long range despite only playing 26 minutes. The Falcons are 16-3 on the season and a perfect 11-0 at home.
Bickford and the Falcons return to action on Saturday when they travel to Mary Baldwin.
