Women's Golf Competes at Wingate Challenge

MONROE, N.C. -- Competing against a Division II field, the Pfeiffer women's golf team finished 11th at the Wingate Challenge hosted by Wingate University. The Falcons shot 700 as a team and were once again led by senior Meghan Holbrooks

Playing at Rolling Hills Country Club, Holbrooks grabbed a top-10 finish with her two-day score of 153 (+9). Holbrooks finished in a three-way tie for sixth place and shaved five strokes off her score on day two. 

The Falcons second place finisher was Olivia Templeton who garnered a tie for 42nd with a score of 170. 

The tournament was won by Lenoir-Rhyne who shot 615. Ainee O'Connor won a playoff to capture the individual championship.

Pfeiffer returns to action on April 7 when they compete in the Hollins Invitational.
