  • Flaherty Named Women's Lacrosse Head Coach

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer University Athletics has announced the hiring of Jenn Flaherty as the sixth head coach in women’s lacrosse history. Flaherty has plenty of knowledge of the Falcons as she joins the Pfeiffer family after six years as head coach at Conference Carolinas opponent Belmont Abbey College.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer University athletics has announced the resignation of former women’s lacrosse head coach Chandler Borrosh. Borrosh guided the Falcons for two seasons before stepping down to pursue a career in the medical field.
  • Former Women's Lacrosse Teammates Square off in Big South Championship Game

    A pair of Pfeiffer women’s lacrosse alums will square off Sunday with a trip to the NCAA Tournament on the line as Campbell takes on High Point in the Big South Conference Tournament Championship game at noon. The game will air at noon and feature Lydnsey Boswell’s top-seeded High Point squad taking on Dawn Easley’s Campbell team and will be broadcast on ESPN3.
  • Five Women's Lacrosse Players Named to All-Conference Team

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Conference Carolinas announced its 2017 women’s lacrosse award winners on Saturday afternoon and included were five players from Pfeiffer University. Juniors Molly O’Friel and Josie Lent, and sophomore Ally Unkenholz were tabbed first-team All-Conference, while freshman Meagan Bourque and junior goalkeeper Emily James were honored as second-team representatives.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The No. 4-seeded Pfeiffer University women’s lacrosse team (9-7) fell to No. 5 seed North Greenville (10-8) by a final score of 11-8 in the quarterfinals of the Conference Carolinas tournament on Wednesday afternoon. With the loss, the Falcons have concluded their 2017 season.

  • Falcons Dominant in 18-8 Victory at Erskine

    DUE WEST, S.C. – The Pfeiffer University women’s lacrosse team improved to 8-5 (6-2 CC) after putting on a dominating show Saturday afternoon, beating Erskine 18-8 on the road in Due West, South Carolina. Offensively, the Falcons scored their second-highest total of the season and reached 15 goals or more for the fifth time in 2017.

    BELMONT, NC – Belmont Abbey (7-5, 6-1 CC) midfielder Katelin Glass scored the go-ahead and eventual game-winning goal with 1:32 remaining to beat the Pfeiffer women’s lacrosse team (7-5, 5-2) by a final score of 8-7 on Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Field.
  • Women's Lacrosse Falls at Limestone

    GAFFNEY, SC - In a matchup that would determine first place in the conference standings, the Pfeiffer women’s lacrosse team (7-4, 5-1 CC) dropped a 15-2 decision at No. 8 Limestone (9-1, 5-0 CC) on Saturday afternoon. Each team entered play with an unblemished record in league play but the Saints grabbed sole possession of first place with the impressive victory.

    BANNERS ELK, NC – The Pfeiffer University women’s lacrosse team beat Lees-McRae by a score of 12-8 on Wednesday afternoon to improve to 7-3 on the season while remaining undefeated in Conference Carolinas play; the loss drops LMC to 2-4 (1-3). With a 5-0 record, the Falcons are tied with Limestone (8-1, 4-0) for first place in the CC standings.

    SALISBURY, NC – The Pfeiffer University women’s lacrosse team erased several multi-goal deficits in both the first and second halves but could not come away with a win, falling on the road at Catawba with a 12-11 decision in overtime. Junior Molly O’Friel (Chesapeake Beach, MD / Huntingtown HS) finished with four goals with a career-high seven ground balls and a game-best nine draw controls. Sophomore Ally Unkenholz (Ellicott City, MD / Mt. Hebron HS) also scored four times in the effort.

    MISENHEIMER, NC – Seven different players scored for the Pfeiffer University women’s lacrosse team (5-2, 3-0 CC) as the Falcons rallied for a 15-13 win against Converse (3-5, 1-1) at NE Lefko Field on Saturday afternoon. Pfeiffer bounced back from a three-goal deficit in the second half to remain undefeated in the conference while improving to 4-1 at home.

Sophomore Ally Unkenholz (Ellicott City, MD / Mt. Hebron HS) led the Falcons with three goals and two ground balls while junior Mollie O'Friel (Chesapeake Beach, MD / Huntingtown HS) scored twice and added an assist.

    MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Pfeiffer women’s lacrosse team (4-1) outscored Huntingdon (0-5) 11-0 in the second half and cruised to a 16-3 victory on Sunday afternoon. Ally Unkenholz scored five times and Meagan Bourque registered four goals and two assists for the Falcons.

Molly O’Friel opened her junior campaign with seven goals and two assists.

    MISENHEIMER, NC- Pfeiffer women's lacrosse head coach Chandler Borrosh has announced the 2017 schedule. The Falcons start on Saturday, February 11 as they travel to Emmanuel for the first of nine Conference Carolinas games, four home games and five on the road.
