MISENHEIMER, N.C. - Pfeiffer University athletics has announced the resignation of former women's lacrosse head coach Chandler Borrosh. Borrosh guided the Falcons for two seasons before stepping down to pursue a career in the medical field.
""We want to thank Chandler for her efforts on behalf of Pfeiffer Lacrosse and we wish her the very best of luck as she peruses her new career," commented VP for Athletics Bob Reasso. "We will begin our search for a new coach immediately. Our assistant coaches, Chelsie Maher and Cassidy Wilson, will serve as interim head coaches until we hire Chandler's replacement."
After taking over right before the start of the 2016 campaign, Borrosh's squad posted a 9-7 record in 2017, including a 7-3 mark in Conference Carolinas. Under her guidance, Ally Unkenholz became the first Freshman of the Year in program history. Additionally, five Falcons were selected to the All-Conference team this year, with three making the first team.
"Coaching at Pfeiffer was a great opportunity, but I am ready to go back to school and pursue a career in medicine," commented Borrosh. "My heart has always lied in the medical field. I want to thank everyone at Pfeiffer University, including my players. I wish the program well."
Borrosh wraps up her two seasons with a 15-19 overall record and a 12-6 mark in league play.
