Pfeiffer Women's Lacrosse Runs Past LaGrange

Misenheimer,  N.C. (April 14, 2019) The Pfeiffer University women's lacrosse team had no trouble with visiting LaGrange as they took a convincing 25-4 USA South win on Sunday morning at Lefko Field.

After visiting LaGrange jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead, the Falcons scored the next 15 goals, taking a
15-1 lead at halftime.  Pfeiffer then went up 19-2 and cruised to the 25-4 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED


LaGrange got on the board first with a free position goal from Davida White at the 27:19 mark, but the Falcons Kaley Hyatt tied the game at 1-1 at 21:18 on a feed from Gabby Bosak.  The tandem would then make it 2-1 with Bosak scoring on a pass from Hyatt for the eventual game-winner.

Meagan Bourque added the next two Pfeiffer goals to make it 4-1.  It was all Pfeiffer from there as nine different Falcons notched goals on the afternoon.

Bourque led the way with six goals and two assists while Meredith Manson had five goals.  Hailey Metzger added four goals and an assist.  Kaley Hyatt had five assists and two goals while Gabby Bosak had two assists to go along with two goals.

Startraya Galloway had three goals while her twin sister Starnice had a goal.  Sophia Griffin tallied a goal while Tracy Torrez scored her first career goal in the win.

LaGrange got all four of their goals from Davida White.

Pfeiffer's Sam Hanlon recorded the win in goal for Pfeiffer, making four saves.

The Falcons will close out their regular season on Friday, April 19 at 1:00 p.m. when they host N.C. Wesleyan.
