Pfeiffer Women's Soccer Runs Past Brevard, 6-0

The Pfeiffer University women's soccer team continued their winning ways in a 6-0 win over Brevard College on Wesdnesday afternoon at Lefko Field.

The Falcons, winners of their past six matches, dominated every facet of the match, outshooting the visiting Tornados, 23-1 with 14 being on goal.

Pfeiffer's first goal of the matche came in the 24th minute when Cayci Eaton (Harrisburg, N.C.) received a pass from Alexandra Skinner (Valparaiso, Ind.) and beat Brevard goalkeeper Hannah Weatherall to make it 1-0.  Eaton would make it 2-0 with her ninth goal of the season when she got a pass from Mackenzie Pruitt (Havelock, N.C.) in the 34th minute.

Madeline Capel (Harrisburg, N.C.) got into the scoring action, netting her ninth goal of the season in the 42nd minute on a pass from Allison Gonzalez (Charlotte, N.C.), making it 3-0.

In the second half, the Falcons continued with the onslaught, with Dayanna Riera (Charlotte), Gonzalez, and Pruitt all adding goals, providing the 6-0 final.

The win pushes the Falcons to 11-2 overall while Brevard falls to 9-7.

Pfeiffer will next travel to Charlotte, N.C. on Tuesday, Oct. 30 with a 7:00 p.m. matchup with Johnson & Wales.
