Pfeiffer's Bartholomew Claims Third at SunCoast Championships

Orlando, Fla.
– Pfeiffer University junior swimmer Tiffany Bartholomew brought home a podium finish in the 50-yard freestyle during competition at the SunCoast Swimming Championships in Orlando, Fla.

Bartholomew, from Raleigh, N.C., clocked a time of 24.93 in her preliminary swim, advancing to the event finals.  In the finals, she finished third with a 24.82 in a tight race, bringing home the third-place finish.

Teammates Natalia Gutierrez and Ada McClendon also competed in the "B" finals, clocking times of 27.93 and 28.98, respectively, claiming 12th and 13th place.

In other events, Pfeiffer's 200-yard medley relay team of Bartholomew, Gutierrez, Gina Myers and Samira Wolf claimed sixth place while McClendon, Mary Rhyne, Haley Zoltoski, and Kayleigh Hunt finished in 9th place.

Mary Rhyne also advanced to the finals of the 200-yard individual medley, finishing eighth with a 2:42.76.
