Pfeiffer Volleyball Splits at USA South Tri-Match

Greensboro, N.C. (Oct. 13, 2018) –
The Pfeiffer University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Meredith and then bounced back with a 3-1 win over host Greensboro College.

In the match with Meredith, the Falcons fell by 25-13, 28-26 and 27-25 scores. 

Pfeiffer's Alonna Clouse (Harrisburg, N.C.) rapped out 19 kills while Bri Weber (Jesup, Iowa) had eight.  Defeisvely, Lili Jaramillo (Oakboro, N.C.) had 18 digs while Emma Gray Beacham (Laurinburg, N.C.) had 11 in the loss.

Against host Greensboro, the Falcons took the match by scores of 25-21, 26-24, 19-25, and 25-21. Clouse again led the way with 23 kills with Weber managing nine to go with nine digs.  Freshman
Angelina Fardella (Harrisburg, N.C.) dished out 32 assists and had 15 digs.  Beacham had a great match against Greensboro, going for 29 digs with Clouse having 22.  Jaramillo also had 10 as the Falcons improve to 8-13 overall and 4-6 in USA South play.
