Pfeiffer's Alonna Clouse Earns USA South Second Team East Division Honors

Misenheimer, N.C.  – Pfeiffer freshman Alonna Clouse has been named to the USA South Second Team East Division team the league has announced.

Clouse, a product of Harrisburg, N.C. finished her freshman season as the USA South leader in kills per set with 3.64 and logged the most attacks in conference play with 1,154. She also finished second in total points with 397.

During the course of the season, Clouse set several Pfeiffer records. She recorded 29 kills against Mary Baldwin on Oct. 29, placing her at the top of the Pfeiffer all-time single-match kills list. She also had 23 at Greensboro on Oc.t 13 to tie for fourth.  She had seven aces against Mary Baldwin on Oct. 6, placing her third on the all-time list.  Defensively, she contributed 31 digs at Randolph on Sept. 5 to become the Pfeiffer leader in the single-match digs category.

Clouse was instrumental in helping the Pfeiffer volleyball team to a 9-18 overall record, the best team finish since 2011 when the Falcons went 10-15 overall.

In addition to Clouse' accolades, Pfeiffer's Lea Hilton (Kannapolis, N.C.) was placed on the USA South All-Sportsmanship Team.
