Falcons Close Season With Strong Showing at NCAA Regionals
MONTEVALLO, AL - The Pfeiffer men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up a strong season with a good showing at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional meet this morning. The women placed 16th, while the men finished in 23rd at the event.

First Team All-Conference performer Kylie Spencer led the Falcons with a 40th place finish out of 182 runners. Running the 8k course, Spencer crossed the finish line in a time of 23:03.28 to close a solid junior campaign. Trailing Spencer was sophomore Cassidy Hooper who placed 63rd with a time of 23:46.28. Rounding out the top five runners for the Falcons were Megan Miller, Airea Williams and Mary Stegall.

On the men's side, Brandon Boyd was the top runner for Pfeiffer, completing the 10k course in a time of 34:27.97. Boyd was followed closely by Joshua Wilhoit who was just eight spots behind Boyd with a time of 34:45.26. The rest of the top five runners for the Falcons were Dakota Freeman, Alex Brown and Christian Ray.

The Falcons will now turn their sights to the indoor track and field season which opens up competition in December.
