Pfeiffer Cross Country Opens Season at Chick-Fil-A Invitational

Salisbury, N.C. (Sept. 1, 2018) – The Pfeiffer University cross country teams opened the 2018 season, running in the Chick-Fil-A Invitational at Salisbury Community Park in Salisbury, N.C.

The Falcon women's team finished in seventh place with a total of 209 points.  The Falcons were paced by Megan Miller, as she finished the 5K course in 18th place with a time of 22:57.8.  Teammate Cassidy Hooper ran a 23.07.4, good for 20th place overall.

On the men's side, sophomore Devon Williams was the top Falcon finisher, completing the 8K course in fourth place overall with a 27.40.6, placing himself as the fastest Division III runner in the meet.

Curtis Freeman was the next-highest Falcon finisher, as he clocked a 46th place time of 31.32.4.
