Pfeiffer VP for Athletics Bob Reasso has announced the hiring of Tony Faticoni to the position of Deputy Athletic Director. Faticoni, a former Division I soccer standout, will be responsible for overseeing the strength and conditioning program at Pfeiffer as well as transportation and day-to-day operations of the athletic department.
“We couldn’t be happier to add Tony to our staff,” said Reasso. “He’s an incredibly dedicated person and an exceptional professional. We are very fortunate to add someone with his experience to our department.”
For the past 16 years, Faticoni has been a Personal Training manager, supervising three different Work Out World locations in New Jersey. In his first four years at the Ocean, NJ location, Faticoni increased average monthly revenue by 100% within his first four years and transformed the gym into the most successful personal training department in the entire company. Fataconi managed a staff of 12-20 trainers and was responsible for over 400 total clients.
Prior to his personal training career, Faticoni was the Head Soccer Coach at Centenary College where he won the National Small College Association of America National Title in 1995. From 1993-94, Faticoni was the Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Rutgers on Reasso’s staff where he worked with the goalkeepers as the Scarlet Knights advanced to the Final Four.
Prior to playing at Rutgers, Faticoni was a tremendous goalkeeper at Philadelphia Textile, where he helped lead the program to two appearances in the NCAA Final 16. He graduated from Rutgers in 1994 with a B.S. in Exercise Science and Sport Studies.
“I want to express how excited I am to be at Pfeiffer University,” said Faticoni. “I am honored to be part of the Pfeiffer family and will bring a great deal of enthusiasm and passion to the athletic department.”
