Barton outscored Pfeiffer 36-10 in the paint improving to a conference best 14-1, 15-5 overall. The Lady Falcons dropped their second-straight dipping to 11-5, 11-10.

Flores came out and scored eight of the Bulldogs first ten points while Celeste Caudill (Sparta, NC) drained a couple of early threes as both teams would trade eight lead changes in the first 20 minutes. A pair of Christina Harvey (Locust Grove, VA) free throws would give the Lady Falcons their largest lead of the night 27-20 with 6:26 to go, before Barton would close out the half on a 12-3 run, thanks to Flores and three-straight baskets by Kelsey Sill (Raleigh, NC), carrying a 32-30 lead into the break.

Pfeiffer would regain the lead on another one of Caudill's five triples on the night at the 15:50 mark to put the hosts up 40-39. After a Jamila Johnson (Garner, NC) layup tied the contest at 51 with 10:57 remaining, a fast-paced 13-0 run by the Bulldogs would all of a sudden put them up 11, 62-51, with 6:37 to play. The Lady Falcons would eventually get to within seven on a pair of free throws by Kellie Rhoney (Catawba, NC) but Sill, Flores and Johnson would each counter with late baskets for sealing the 11-point road victory.

In addition to Flores, Johnson would be the only other Bulldog in double-figures finishing with 18. Flores would toss in a half-dozen steals in the win. Pfeiffer was led by Caudill's 16 points which included a 5-for-5 night from behind the arc. Shelley Reese (Brown Summit, NC) would finish with an even dozen.

Pfeiffer returns to the hardwood on Thursday in a road contest at Erskine, while Barton will host rival Mount Olive. Both contests are slated to tip at 5:30 p.m.
