Harper's Career Night Pushes Pfeiffer Past William Peace

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Brian Harper's career-high 22 points led Pfeiffer (14-3) past William Peace (4-14) by a final score of 102-88 on Wednesday evening. The win came with the Falcons playing without leading-scorer Josh Calhoun but a host of players stepped up to fill the void and secure the team win.

Harper shot 7-for-14 from the field a buried a career-high six 3-pointers for the Falcons, topping his previous career-best 19-point performance against Carolina Christian earlier this season.

Eric Ambrosio added 18 points for Pfeiffer, tying his career-high. Ambrosio also scored 18 against Averett on Dec. 9. The senior shot 8-of-12 and added three assists and two steals.

Brendan Jones and Jevon Patton each chipped in 15 for Pfeiffer, with Patton doing all his damage in the second half. Jones and Evan Fosha led the team with seven rebounds apiece.

The Falcons buried 20 triples (on 40 attempts) on the evening and shot 52.8 percent from the field.

The two team's weren't shy, firing up a combined 80 3-point attempts in the contest.

The Pacers were led by Joshua Jones who poured in 24 points off the bench and knocked down eight of his team's 15 threes on the night. Trey Bryant chipped in with 20 points and went 9-for-10 from the floor.

Pfeiffer held a 38-33 advantage on the glass and 32-22 edge in points off turnovers. The game was tied once but the Falcons never trailed.

The Falcons return to action on Saturday when they host Brevard at 4 p.m. inside Merner Gym.
